We prepare our kayaks with care, we stow away our change of dry clothing, food supplies, a cooker and other necessities and...we beat about the bush... when is the best moment to leave?
It is cloudy but that is not the real problem.
The problem is the current we will come across in the Rasduset.
We look for information about the tides in the newspaper…
I just cant get used to the speed, the kayak seems to be extremely heavy; my shoulders are still aching since yesterday, I gaze at a distant spot on the coast and I get the impression I am not moving at all.
Then when I get nearer the shore, I become more aware of my speed.
My paddling is pushing me forward much more than I thought... and in the meantime I am enjoying everything around me…
